Creating innovative campaigns to raise brand awareness and increase market share

Insight

When Bensons for Beds, Sleepmasters and Bed Shed merged, it made them the largest bed retailer in the UK. To promote this proposition, the new Bensons for Beds brand needed to be launched on a national scale.

Execution

Taking into consideration the customer profiles of all three of the brands, a national media campaign was researched, developed and launched. Using a mix of TV, National Press and Digital, RP2 ran a 4 week multi-media campaign targeting all audiences.

Outcome

The campaign reached 98% of the UK, significantly increasing Bensons for Beds share of voice in the marketplace. Sales across this period improved by over 10% compared to the previous year. Additionally both spontaneous and prompted awareness increased by an average of 12% across a 4 week period. The success of this media strategy has helped make Bensons for Beds the brand leader in the bed marketplace.
